Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN with 5+ years of experience and prior charge nurse experience for a day-shift travel assignment in Missouri. Active MO or compact RN license required; current BLS and ACLS are essential.

Responsibilities include working in the Diagnostic/Interventional Cath Lab, 1:1 patient care, day hours 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, and on-call duties about one night per week and one weekend per 4 weeks.

Qualifications

• Active MO or compact RN license is required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum 5 years of Cath Lab nursing experience.
• Previous charge nurse experience is required.
• Prior travel nursing experience required.
• EPIC charting experience preferred.
• Experience with diagnostic/interventional cath Lab procedures.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab.
• Maintain 1:1 patient ratio.
• Day shift schedule 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with on-call duties.
• On-call: about one night per week and one weekend per 4 weeks.
• 90-minute call back time.
• Circulating and monitoring sedation during procedures.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN with 5+ years of experience and prior charge experience for a day-shift position with call requirements.

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 5 years of Cath Lab nursing experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Any charting system experience accepted, with EPIC preferred
• Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, cardiac stent placement, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, and PCI
• Experience administering and monitoring procedural sedation and emergency medications including antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, IV vasopressors, reversal agents, and thrombolytics
• Skilled in cardioversion, circulating procedures, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, and isolation precautions/PPE

Responsibilities

• Work in the Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• On-call responsibilities including approximately one night per week and one weekend per 4-week schedule
• 30-minute call back time required
• Responsibilities include circulating cardiac cath lab procedures and monitoring procedural sedation
• Traveler's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rate
• Local candidates accepted at a lower rate
• Previous employees must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers will be considered if experience requirements are met
• Up to 4 hours of non-billable orientation modules completed through MyPath
