Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab RN for an acute care hospital in South Carolina. Requires 2 years cath lab experience and SC or compact RN license. BLS and ACLS certifications are required.

The role includes a 4x10 schedule, on-call duties, and travel-friendly benefits such as housing and licensure reimbursements. Must be willing to travel and comply with hurricane-season assignments.

Qualifications

• Active SC RN license or compact license required in hand prior to start (must reside outside 60 mile radius prioritized)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience required
• Experience with circulating procedures and cath lab procedures incl. electrophysiology
• Scrub procedures and radiation safety awareness are needed

Responsibilities

• Cath Lab unit with 1 procedure room and a pre/post area
• Team of 3 full-time nurses; 2 RNs on pre/post area
• Day shift 4x10 hours; Mon-Fri 6:30am-5:00pm
• Occasional weekend STEMI coverage and STEMI call participation
• On-call Mon-Sat for post-PCI callbacks
• No floating between service lines or to sister facilities
• Cerner charting preferred
• Block scheduling may be accommodated with manager approval
• Acute care hospital with 286 staffed beds
• Scrubs provided
• Travelers prioritized if outside 60-mile radius; local candidates considered at reduced rate
• Requires separation from facility for 1 year if previously perm/PRN to return as traveler
• All requested time off must be submitted upfront and approved
• Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per 2 weeks
• First-time travelers accepted
• Hurricane season may see emergency response assignments

• Community hospital experience preferred
• Radiation badge required, to be provided by agency
• SSN and driver's license required for consideration

• Cath Lab unit with 1 procedure room and a pre/post procedure area with 4 bays
• Team consists of 3 full-time nurses with 2 RNs staffing the pre/post area
• Day shift, 4x10 hours, Monday-Friday 6:30am-5:00pm
• Occasional weekend STEMI coverage required with participation in STEMI call during scheduled periods
• On-call required Monday-Saturday for post-PCI patient callbacks
• No floating between service lines or to sister facilities
• Cerner charting preferred
• Block scheduling may be accommodated pending manager approval and unit needs
• Acute care hospital with 286 staffed beds
• Scrubs provided
• Must reside outside a 60-mile radius to be prioritized, though local candidates may be considered on a case‑by‑case basis at a reduced rate
• Previous perm or PRN staff must be separated from the facility for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off must be submitted upfront and is subject to facility approval
• Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per 2 weeks
• First‑time travelers accepted
• During hurricane season (June-November), all staff including travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams
