Qualifications

• Prior travel nursing experience with manager approval.
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Case management and utilization review in acute hospital setting.
• Day shift 8:00 AM–4:30 PM; every other weekend.
• Floating between like units as needed.
• No on-call requirements.
• Use Epic charting system.
• Admissions review, appeals/denials, benefits eligibility.
• Care coordination and discharge planning, DME ordering, prior authorizations.
• Knowledge of CMS, DRG, HIPAA, Joint Commission/Core Measure/NSG.
• Local candidates accepted; local candidates within 50 miles at lower bill rate.
• Former staff must wait 3 months before returning as traveler; not reside within 50 miles of facility.
• Submit RTO requests at submittal.
• Must work 3 of 5 major holidays.

• 2 years of acute hospital case management experience performing care coordination and discharge planning
• Epic charting experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required, though first-time travelers may be considered with manager approval
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years

Responsibilities

• Acute hospital Case Management/Utilization Review department
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating between like units required based on facility need
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic charting system
• Responsibilities include admission criteria review, appeals and denials, benefits eligibility, care coordination, discharge planning, needs assessment/DME ordering, and prior authorizations
• Knowledge of CMS, DRG, HIPAA guidelines, and Joint Commission/Core Measure/National Safety Goals expected
• Local candidates accepted
• Local candidates within 50 miles accepted at a lower bill rate
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• All RTO requests must be submitted at time of submittal
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
