Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Case Management RN for an acute care hospital position in California. The role requires 2 years of hospital case management experience and an active CA RN license.

The traveler will work days, 1:20 patient ratio, with weekend rotation and potential to float between sister facilities. Epic EMR experience is required and holidays are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Active California RN license required, pending licenses accepted but must be active by start date.
• Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital Case Manager experience performing care coordination and discharge planning.
• Hospital experience is required.
• Prior travel experience required, though first-time travelers may be considered pending clinical screening.
• Experience with care coordination, discharge planning, plan of care, and InterQual Criteria utilization preferred.
• Knowledge of CMS and Department of Health regulatory standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Acute care hospital setting within the Case Management department.
• 1:20 patient ratio.
• Day shift schedule, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Weekend rotation required to meet department needs.
• No floating expected within the facility, but travelers may float between sister facilities.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Responsible for care coordination and discharge planning within an acute care hospital setting.
• Scrubs or business attire accepted.
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day).
• RTO requests limited to no more than 7 days and must be submitted upfront.
• Must reside within 50 miles for local candidate consideration.
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply pending clinical screening.
