Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks an RN Case Manager for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment in Virginia. Must have acute care CM experience and Epic EMR experience, or travel experience in lieu of Epic.

Active VA license or compact license is required (pending accepted if in hand by start). BSN and BLS are preferred. 2+ yearsCM experience and teaching hospital or Level I/II trauma exposure are a plus.

Qualifications

• Active VA RN license or compact license; pending accepted if in hand by start date
• Minimum 2 years of acute care case management experience
• Epic EMR experience required, or travel experience in lieu of Epic
• BSN preferred
• BLS certification preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I or II hospital experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage acute care hospital inpatient Case Management unit
• Work day shift 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM on a 13-week contract
• 2–3 weekends required per contract
• Must work 2 of the 3 winter holidays
• Floating within scope of practice as needed
• Care coordination, discharge planning, disease management, needs assessment, DME ordering, and care plan development
• Up to 40 hours of RTO may be approved per 13-week contract with disclosure at consideration
• Disclose any planned time off between sign date and start date
• Prior UVA Health permanent staff or traveler employment requires 1-year separation and leadership approval before reapplying
• External travelers may not exceed 365 total assignment days and are not eligible to return after
• First-time travelers may be considered if they have acute care CM and Epic experience
• No radius or local candidate restrictions

• Epic EMR experience required, or prior travel experience in lieu of Epic

• 13-week contract length
• 2-3 weekends required per contract
• Must work 2 of the 3 winter holidays

• Responsibilities include care coordination, discharge planning, disease management, needs assessment, DME ordering, and plan of care development
• Up to 40 hours of RTO may be approved per 13-week contract, and must be disclosed at time of consideration
