Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks a Registered Nurse-Case Manager with at least 1 year of case management experience in acute care and LTC settings. Utah or compact RN license required, BLS certification. The role includes travel assignments, 4x10 shifts, and coordination of patient care from admission to discharge with emphasis on utilization review and payer collaboration.

Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility and be willing to travel. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Active UT or compact RN license required (pending license accepted but must be in hand prior to start)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Case Management experience
• Experience in acute care and long-term care (LTC) settings
• Familiarity with InterQual Criteria and Milliman Guidelines
• Knowledge of utilization review processes including admission criteria, concurrent review, continued stay reviews, and medical necessity determinations
• Understanding of CMS, HIPAA, ICD-10 coding, DRG, and Joint Commission requirements
• May be required to access and administer medications within scope of practice per State Law

Responsibilities

• Acute hospital and long-term acute care/rehab/skilled nursing settings
• Case Management/Utilization Review department
• 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM with rotating days off
• Weekend requirement of every weekend or every other weekend at minimum
• Coordinate the case management process from patient entry through post-discharge, including outpatient settings
• Monitor patient care progress and address patient and family needs throughout the care continuum
• Resolve obstacles to effective care and coordinate with payers, vendors, patients, and families
• Work with the multidisciplinary team to establish, monitor, and execute discharge plans
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

• Previous full-time employees of this facility are not eligible to return as travelers
