American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a hospital-based travel assignment in Greensburg, PA. This 13-week contract offers 3x12-hour shifts, with both day and night options, and requires active state licensure, RRT certification, and Cerner EMR proficiency.

The role focuses on adult critical care, ED, and NICU settings, including ARDS, ECMO, airway management, and neonatal support. Travel, housing allowances, and licensure reimbursements are provided.

Qualifications

• Active PA state license required (license required if applicable).
• RRT certification required; CRT may be considered.
• BLS certification required (AHA only).
• Minimum 1 year of experience required.
• Prior travel experience required; first-time travelers accepted.
• Cerner charting system experience required.
• Community hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred.
• Two supervisor references preferred.
• Valid driver's license required for submission.

Responsabilités

• 13-week contract assignment in the Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics department.
• 3x12-hour day shifts (7:00-19:30) or night shifts (19:00-7:30).
• Initially rotating days/nights with potential for straight shifts based on staffing needs.
• Adult critical care, emergency department, and NICU work settings.
• Care for patients with ARDS, aspiration, bronchoscopy, COVID, cystic fibrosis, ECMO, fresh tracheostomy, and pneumonia.
• Performs ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, and SIMV.
• Performs airway management including intubation assist, extubation, and tracheostomy care.
• Performs neonatal/pediatric procedures including bubble CPAP, capillary blood gases, and neonatal transports.
• Cerner EMR experience required.
• Candidates must be willing to float within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius.
• Must be available to work every other holiday.
• Provide respiratory therapy and neuro diagnostics services within a hospital setting.
• Participate in medication delivery including nebulizer treatments and metered dose inhalers.
• Perform pulmonary function testing including arterial punctures and ABG interpretation.
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and neonatal resuscitation as needed.
• Candidates must live over 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted.
• Travel pairs may be accepted based on facility need, though matching schedules cannot be guaranteed.
• Former permanent employees must have been separated for at least 2 years to be eligible.
• Travelers are limited to a cumulative one-year assignment within the health system before requiring a two-year break.
• Fingerprinting, drug screening, and required labs must be completed within 24-48 hours of signing.
• Pre-start orientation modules (~1 hour) must be completed before starting at the facility.
