Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 1+ year of recent experience for a night shift position in a hospital setting. The role requires Epic EMR experience, BLS/ACLS, and active RRT credentials.

Expect 3x12 night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) with weekend rotations and potential on-call duties. Travel, housing allowance, and licensure reimbursements are included as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Active RRT credential required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• State license required if applicable.
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience required.
• Community hospital experience required.
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with Epic EMR required.
• Ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, IMV, and SIMV.
• Airway management including intubation assist, extubation, and tracheostomy care.
• ABG draws and interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based Respiratory Therapy/Neuro Diagnostics unit.
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM).
• Weekend rotation required, typically every other weekend.
• On-call shifts may be required, up to 2 per 6-week schedule.
• May be required to float to other units or campuses within the health system.
• Provide comprehensive respiratory therapy care across adult critical care and emergency department settings.
• Participate in chest physiotherapy, pulmonary hygiene and suctioning procedures.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team in a fast-paced hospital environment.
• Orientation held every Monday with annual compliance training required.
• Pre-assignment testing and training modules must be completed within 48 hours of login credentials.
• RTO limited during contract; holiday coverage expected.
• First-time travelers will be considered.
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from facility for full travel pay; reduced rates within 90-99.9 miles.
• Night shift RRT candidates may qualify under exception for 50+ mile radius for full pay eligibility.

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 1+ years of recent experience for a night shift hospital position requiring Epic EMR experience.

Requirements

• State license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience with Epic EMR required
• Skilled in ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, IMV, and SIMV
• Experience with airway management including intubation assist, extubation, and tracheostomy care
• Proficient in arterial blood gas draws and interpretation
• Experience with oxygen therapy delivery methods including HFNC, ET tube, and trach collar
• Experience caring for patients with ARDS, COVID, pneumonia, and cystic fibrosis
• Experience with medication delivery systems including nebulizers and MDIs
• Experience with patient transport, including inter-departmental and ambulance transport

Responsibilities

• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Weekend rotation required, typically every other weekend
• On-call shifts may be required, up to 2 per 6-week schedule (up to 4 per 13-week contract), limited to one call shift per week and only from 4PM-8PM on night shifts
• May be required to float to other units or campuses within the health system based on census needs, limited to units where competencies have been demonstrated
• Provide comprehensive respiratory therapy care across adult critical care and emergency department settings
• Participate in chest physiotherapy, pulmonary hygiene and suctioning procedures
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Orientation held every Monday with annual compliance training required
• Pre-assignment testing and training modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• RTO should be limited during the contract and holiday coverage is expected
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility system to be eligible for full travel pay rate, with reduced rates available for those 90-99.9 miles away
• Night shift RRT candidates may qualify under an exception allowing a 50+ mile radius from the contracted facility for full pay eligibility
