American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift travel assignment in Missouri.

Requires 4+ years of experience across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations and licenses/certifications (RRT, BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS). The role involves caring for patients in a Level 3 Trauma Center, using Epic EMR, night shifts 18:00–06:30, and rotating weekends/holidays with orientation for day shift.

Qualifications

• RRT license required if applicable
• BLS and ACLS certification from AHA required
• NRP and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 4+ years of respiratory therapy experience
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in the specialty being submitted
• Experience with adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations required
• Critical care experience preferred
• No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months
• Flu vaccination or Mercy-approved exemption required November 1-April 1, with no declinations accepted

Responsibilities

• Work in the Respiratory Unit of a 245-bed Level 3 Emergency and Trauma Center
• Adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient population
• Uses Epic EMR
• Night shift, 18:00-06:30
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage
• Call requirements as required by facility
• Floating as required by facility
• Perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician's orders
• Consult with physicians on effectiveness of therapy
• Act as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff on respiratory care
• Night shift staff orient on day shift and must be available the entire week for orientation
• Black scrubs required; torn clothing and open-toed shoes are not permitted
• Up to 5 days of requested time off allowed but must be made up during the assignment
• Local candidates within 50 miles may be considered at a reduced bill rate
• Local candidates within 50 miles are restricted to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts before requiring a 1-year separation or transfer outside the radius
