Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Registered Nurse for an ER travel assignment in Winchester, MA. The position runs for 13 weeks starting 11/23/2026 with guaranteed hours and a 72-hour biweekly schedule, including 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) and coverage on weekends/holidays as needed.

Responsibilities include ongoing ER assessments, medication administration, and collaboration with the care team to adjust plans.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Massachusetts.
• BSN preferred; associate degree acceptable.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC; PALS/ENPC required.
• Epic EMR experience.
• Must have been separated from affiliated hospital system for 6 months or more.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments in the ER, document findings, and communicate changes to the care team.
• Administer medications and treatments, monitor responses, and evaluate therapeutic effectiveness.
• Observe patients’ progress, detect deterioration, and respond promptly to emergencies.
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and other disciplines to develop and adjust care plans.
• Maintain accurate charting and ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provide patient and family education, discharge planning, and coordination of post-acute care when appropriate.
