The setting involves a busy hospital ED serving hundreds of patients daily, with potential float to related areas. The role requires active Massachusetts RN license, 1.5+ years of Level I/II ED experience (or 2+ years Level 3/4), and current BLS/ACLS/TNCC/PALS certifications, plus EPIC

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Massachusetts or as required for the assignment.
• Minimum 1.5 years of Level I/II ED experience or 2+ years in Level 3/4 ED.
• Must pass Telemetry Test on Day 1 (85%+).
• Active BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for adult and adolescent ED patients, including triage, stabilization, medication administration, wound care, and patient education.
• Monitor patient condition and interpret telemetry rhythm strips; escalate to physician as needed.
• Document care in the EHR and uphold infection control and patient safety practices.
• Collaborate with ED team to manage throughput and disposition.

Overview

Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) in Boston, MA, United States. Start date 11/30/2026. 13‑week travel assignment with 48 guaranteed hours per week. Shift: 12‑hour nights (7:00 PM–7:30 AM). This assignment occurs in a busy hospital ED that serves approximately 350–440 patients daily with up to 120 treatment areas. Schedule includes two weekends in a four‑week period and holiday coverage; must remain through January 9, 2027.

• Weekly pay: $2,610 to $2,685 per week; local candidates within 50 miles receive a local rate $10 less per week ($2,600 to $2,675)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for adult and adolescent ED patients, including triage, stabilization, medication administration, wound care, and patient education
• Monitor patient condition and interpret telemetry rhythm strips; identify heart blocks and elevate to the physician as needed
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record; uphold infection control and patient safety practices
• Collaborate with the ED team (nurses, physicians, techs) to manage throughput and disposition, supporting timely patient care
• May float to Psych ED and Pediatric ED (ages 15+) as needed; respond to high‑acuity cases and support other units when required
• Demonstrate professional accountability, clinical judgment, and adherence to established policies and procedures

Requirements

• Active BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications (active/unexpired)
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent Level I or II ED experience or 2+ years of recent Level 3/4 ED experience
• Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks; pass Telemetry Test on Day 1 (85%+)
• Current RN license to practice in the applicable state (Massachusetts) or as required for the assignment
• EPIC experience preferred; travel experience and critical care background are pluses
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity ED environment and be flexible with floating to related areas as needed
