Job summary

HealthForce Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department travel assignment in Milton, MA. You will care for acutely ill patients, perform triage, monitor telemetry, and coordinate care with the team during 12-hour night shifts.

Requirements include 2+ years ER nursing, BLS/ACLS/TNCC/PALS certifications, ENPC preferred, and COVID/flu vaccines. Orientation and compliance testing occur on day one; travelers must reside >50 miles from assignment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, professional nursing care in the ER for acutely ill or injured patients per physician orders
• Perform triage, rapid assessment, monitoring, and telemetry/ECG interpretation to guide treatment
• Administer meds, establish IVs, manage venous access, wound care, pain control, and EMR documentation
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams; communicate status changes and handoffs
• Maintain patient safety and infection control; respond to emergent events; support orientation requirements

Weekly pay: 2,549 – 2,701 USD per week

Guaranteed hours: 72 hours biweekly

Shift: 12-hour nights (3x12 Night)

Setting: hospital-based emergency department travel assignment

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, professional nursing care in the Emergency Department for acutely ill or injured patients, following physician orders and established protocols
• Perform triage, rapid assessment, continuous monitoring, and interpretation of telemetry/ECG data to guide treatment priorities
• Administer medications, establish and maintain IV lines, manage venous access, wound care, pain control, and documentation in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced clinicians, and multidisciplinary teams; communicate changes in patient status and participate in safe patient handoffs
• Maintain patient safety and infection control standards, respond to emergent events, and support ongoing competency and orientation requirements

Requirements

• ER nursing experience: 2+ years
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS
• Additional guidelines: ENPC preferred; must pass telemetry/ECG test and medications test on day one at orientation
• Vaccinations: COVID vaccine + booster required; Flu vaccine required
• No local travelers: candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the assignment location
• Orientation and compliance: ability to complete required screenings and tests on first day; NM to interview and offer process noted
• Prior affiliation: travelers who have worked for Beth Israel Lahey Health as perm or per diem within the last year will not be accepted
• Facility environment: ability to work in a high-acuity ER setting; no float requirement for this assignment
