Job summary

Elara Caring in Oklahoma City is seeking a Special Care Aide (SCA) to join our home-based care team. You’ll be the first face new clients see, helping start care and ensuring a smooth transition between branches while traveling across OK service areas.

This role offers flexible scheduling, the chance to work with multiple clients, and opportunities to grow into leadership within Personal Care Services. A caring, dependable, and patient-focused approach is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months caring for elderly or disabled individuals.
• Certification such as HHA/CNA/MA or similar where required by state.

Responsibilities

• Support new client admissions and Start of Care visits.
• Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing and hygiene.
• Assist with meals and activities of daily living.
• Perform housekeeping and household support.
• Assist with errands and transportation when appropriate.
• Monitor and report changes in client condition.
• Maintain accurate visit records and documentation.
• Provide coverage for open shifts and urgent staffing needs.
• Travel throughout the assigned service area to support clients.
