Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Acceptance HV/MV Testing Technician Level 1 to execute testing, commissioning and troubleshooting in substations, BESS and PV facilities. This role is remote with heavy travel to varying jobsites required.

Specific location details and expectations will be discussed during the interview process. You will document results, ensure safety, coordinate with clients and teammates, and provide complete test reports.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience as an electrician testing technician in substations or BESS yards.
• Ability to travel 75% of time.
• Effective verbal and written English language communication skills.
• Ability to work at remote locations in extreme weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance testing and commissioning of equipment in the substation, BESS and PV facilities.
• Ensure a safe working environment through strict adherence to and enforcement of company and industry safety standards.
• Prepare timely and accurate documentation and required reports.
• Assemble, write, and review a complete test report of the work that they performed or supervised.
• Handle multiple jobs simultaneously and communicate with clients, vendors, and teammates.
