Job summary

Acclaro Corporation seeks a Field Service Engineer to support laser systems at customer sites in the Seattle, WA or Atlanta, GA region. You will install, repair, upgrade and maintain systems with a high level of skill, accuracy and account management.

You will travel up to 75% of the time, provide on-site technical support, and maintain service records while collaborating with sales and service teams to optimize processes and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or Laser Technology or equivalent.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing schedules.
• 75% travel required, including overnight lodging.
• Ability to travel internationally a big plus.
• Familiarity with computers, DOS, Word and Excel, Salesforce.
• Ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of optics, electronics, cooling systems, power supplies and laser systems.
• Strong customer service skills, positive attitude, and ability to communicate clearly.
• Prioritization and multi-tasking skills.
• Excellent communication, customer interaction and phone interaction skills.

Responsibilities

• Repair, test, calibrate and install laser systems and sub-assemblies during field visits or at head office.
• Identify potential problems impacting timely task completion and equipment.
• Maintain complete and accurate service records.
• Interact with customers and monitor accounts.
• Provide professional, courteous technical service to Acclaro customers.
• Provide on-site technical support to customers as required.
• Provide on-site technical support for workshops and shows.
• Complete physical inventory when asked.
• Maintain tools, fixtures and test equipment in good condition.
• Adhere to safety procedures and company guidelines.
• Collaborate to update technical support processes and responses to common questions.
