Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. seeks a dedicated Directed Energy Laser Field Service Representative to travel to customer locations, install, maintain, troubleshoot, and support advanced laser systems used in mission-critical applications.

You will develop strong relationships with customers and internal teams while ensuring equipment operates safely and effectively. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience across multiple disciplines, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Formal technical training in engineering/IT or equivalent military training.
• 2–5 years of hands-on field service or technical support experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and travel frequently.

Responsibilities

• Install and set up laser systems at customer sites.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues.
• Diagnose problems using data and logs, coordinating with engineering.
• Train customers on operation and upkeep of systems.
• Serve as main customer contact and document visits.
• Ensure safety and compliance in all activities.
• Travel up to 75%; work in varied environments.
