Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent customer service experience, preferably in a retail environment.
• Construction or insurance experience is desirable and preferred.
• Excellent communication skills - both oral and written.
• Computer literate: MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Proficiency with smartphones and applications.
• Eagerness to learn about insurance policies and property damage.
• Outgoing personality and ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
• Valid driver's license and bondable; background check may apply.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field investigations at policyholders' residences to assess damage and negotiate settlements.
• Use claims software, a company car, and a laptop to write estimates in a paperless environment.
• Evaluate subrogation opportunities and report incidents of theft, fraud, or arson.
• Interact with policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, and others regularly.
• Negotiate settlements using strong customer service skills.
• Travel to sites; deployments may occur 1–3 times per year with overtime if deployed.
• Promote safety and comply with company manuals.
• Perform duties independently with impact on management outcomes.
