Qualifications

• ARRT R/T certification is required.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• MD state license if applicable (licensing pending accepted).
• Minimum 1 year of radiotherapy experience.
• Experience with external beam therapy, IMRT, SRS and brachytherapy assistance.
• Familiar with beam modifying/positioning: CBCT/kV/mV, filters, molds, wedges.
• Experience treating various cancers including Hodgkin's/Non-Hodgkin's lymphomas, kidney, pancreas, testicular.
• Knowledge of radiation safety and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Adult outpatient work setting in a teaching hospital's Radiation Oncology department.
• Daily caseload of ~14 patients per tech.
• Day shift, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM.
• No weekend or on-call requirements.
• Deliver external beam therapy, IMRT, SRS, and brachytherapy assistance.
• Chart checks, pretreatment procedures, and tumor localization.
• Educate patients and families throughout treatment.
• Travel team members paired with an experienced RTT; first-time travelers accepted.
• Some holiday and weekend coverage may be expected.
• Local candidates considered within 50-mile radius with reduced bill rate.

• Current BLS certification required
• MD State License required if applicable (pending license accepted)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• Experience with external beam therapy, IMRT, SRS, and brachytherapy assistance
• Skilled in beam modifying/positioning techniques including CBCT/kV/mV imaging, compensation filters, custom molds, and wedges
• Experience treating a variety of cancers including Hodgkin's and Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, kidney, pancreatic, and testicular cancer
• Knowledge of radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE
• Familiarity with Record & Verify systems such as Varis/ARIA
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

• Open to accommodating block schedules

• Perform chart checks, pretreatment procedures, and tumor localization
• Assist with patient and family education throughout treatment
• Travel team members are paired with an experienced facility-employed RTT at all times
• First-time travelers are accepted for this role
• Some holiday and weekend coverage may be expected
• One RTO request permitted
• Local candidates accepted only with approval and at a reduced bill rate
• Local radius of 50 miles applies
• Assignment extensions beyond 1 year require a 90-day separation before returning as a traveler
• Former permanent employees must wait at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
