Job summary

Newsandtribune seeks a Radiation Therapist to join a hospital oncology department in northern Michigan. ARRT (T) certification and BLS (AHA) are required, along with a license where applicable, and a minimum of two years of radiation therapy experience.

Experience with Varian and ARIA is needed, with TrueBeam, ARIA, and Trilogy experience preferred. Day shifts 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with potential transition to 4/10s, no weekends or on-call duties.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Radiation Oncology department.
• Deliver radiation therapy treatments and perform treatment simulations.
• Fabricate necessary shielding blocks and maintain accurate EMR documentation.
• Prepare equipment for patient treatments, performing quality control and assurance tests.
• Adhere to infection control techniques and radiation safety and protection practices.
• Maintain professional working relationships with medical staff.
• Candidates residing within 35 miles of the facility are considered local travelers with adjusted pay.

• 1 year of travel experience OR post-graduation work experience with Varian and ARIA required

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Radiation Oncology department
• 202-bed regional hospital serving 22 counties across northern Michigan
• Uses ARIA for electronic medical records
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, with possible transition to 4/10s
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Deliver radiation therapy treatments and perform treatment simulations
• Fabricate necessary shielding blocks and maintain accurate EMR documentation
• Prepare equipment for patient treatments, performing quality control and assurance tests
• Adhere to infection control techniques and radiation safety and protection practices
• Maintain professional working relationships with medical staff
• Scrubs of any color permitted
• Maximum of 5 days of RTO may be requested
• Candidates residing within 35 miles of the facility are considered local travelers with adjusted pay
