Description

American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with ARRT (T) certification and 2+ years of experience for a busy outpatient radiation oncology center.

Details

• Outpatient radiation oncology center setting
• Day shift, 5x8 hours, Monday-Friday 12:00pm-8:30pm
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• May float to sister facility as needed
• Treats adult outpatient population including benign brain tumors, prostate cancer, and various cancers
• Utilizes TrueBeam treatment units and Varian Vision/ARIA record & verify systems
• Performs external beam therapy, IMRT, and stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS)

Requirements

• ARRT (T) certification required, license required if applicable
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist
• Experience with TrueBeam required
• Must be able to handle a busy workflow and step into a fast-paced facility
• First-time travelers accepted if required experience is met

Additional Information

• Perform simulation, positioning, and treatment delivery using CBCT/kV/mV imaging and CT simulation
• Follow radiation safety protocols and isolation precautions/PPE guidelines
• Provide treatment to patients with various cancers including Hodgkin's and Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, kidney, and pancreatic cancer
• Grey or Steel scrub color required
• Complete facility-specific training modules within the first week of assignment
• Candidates previously employed by the health system or its affiliates must disclose this information
• Maximum 10 RTO days permitted per 13-week contract, with blackout periods during select weeks
• Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility accepted
