American Traveler, LLC. seeks a Radiation Therapist with ARRT(T) certification and 1+ year of experience for a hospital radiation oncology department using advanced treatment modalities.

The role requires float coverage between two Prisma Health campuses, working a 5x8 hour day shift (7:30am-4:00pm), with potential schedule changes to cover patient needs. Travel-ready candidates encouraged.

Qualifications

• ARRT(T) certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of recent radiation therapy experience required.
• 1-year minimum experience with EPIC EMR required.
• License required if applicable.
• Experience with pediatric acute and outpatient settings preferred.
• Experience with respiratory gating, SRS, and IMRT preferred.
• Skills in patient/family teaching, chart checking, and use of lift/transfer devices.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based Radiation Oncology department setting.
• Adult and pediatric acute care and outpatient patient populations.
• Day shift schedule, Monday to Friday, 5x8-hour shifts (7:30am-4:00pm).
• Float between two campus locations based on coverage needs.
• Uses ARIA, Siemens, TrueBeam, and Vision RT treatment units.
• Uses Eclipse (Varian) treatment planning system.
• Uses EPIC EMR.
• Provides treatment for benign brain tumors, craniospinal, prostate cancer, lymphomas, pediatric cancer, and other oncologic diagnoses.
• CT simulation, custom molds/shields, CBCT/kV/mV imaging, and field shaping.
• Deliver external beam therapy and advanced radiation treatment modalities to a diverse oncology population.
• Float coverage between two Prisma Health campuses based on census and scheduling needs.
• Practice requires coverage on Thanksgiving week per schedule.
• Orientation and annual compliance training required.

• Facility closes Thursday and Friday of Thanksgiving week, with coverage required Sunday through Wednesday that week
• Orientation occurs every Monday with annual compliance training required
• Pre-assignment testing and compliance modules must be completed shortly after receiving login credentials
• First-time travelers will be considered for this role
• Travelers must meet minimum distance requirements from all facility campuses to be eligible for the assignment
