Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a qualified Radiation Therapist for a hospital-based clinic. The candidate should have 2+ years of Radiation Therapy experience and ARRT/RRA certification, with BLS and licensure as applicable.

The role focuses on patient setup, treatment delivery, and close teamwork within a Level I Trauma center environment. Equipment includes Elekta Versa, Varian HDR, Cyberknife, and plans to implement Radixact.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Radiation Therapy experience in a hospital setting.
• ARRT and RRA certifications required.
• License required if applicable; BLS from AHA required.

Responsibilities

• Treats both inpatient and outpatient populations in a hospital-based clinic.
• Provides radiation therapy treatments as planned with Elekta Versa, Varian HDR, and Cyberknife equipment.
• Uses Mosaiq and EPIC for electronic medical records.
• Day shift with typical hours 8:00am–4:30pm or 8:30am–5:00pm; no weekends, no call or float requirements.
• Collaborates with the Radiation Therapy Treatment Team to plan, prepare, and deliver prescribed treatments.

Job description

American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist for a hospital radiation therapy clinic with 2+ years of experience and ARRT/RRA certification required.

Requirements

• License required if applicable
• BLS certification from AHA required
• ARRT and RRA certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Radiation Therapy experience in a hospital setting
• Linac treatment experience including patient setup and imaging required
• Elekta workflow experience preferred but can be trained on-the-job
• Strong communication skills required

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based Radiation Therapy clinic setting
• Treats both inpatient and outpatient populations
• Approximately 65-70 patients treated in the department per day
• Equipment includes Elekta Versas, Varian HDR, Cyberknife, and soon Radixact
• Uses Mosaiq and EPIC for electronic medical records
• Day shift schedule, 5x8, typically 8:00am-4:30pm or 8:30am-5:00pm depending on patient load
• No weekend hours, call, or float requirements
• Serve as a member of the Radiation Therapy Treatment Team, planning, preparing, and delivering prescribed radiation therapy treatments
• Use sophisticated equipment and devices to perform related duties as assigned
• Black scrubs required; colored scrubs not permitted
• Flu vaccination or Mercy-approved exemption required for all travelers from November 1 to April 1, with no declinations accepted
• Facility is a Level 1 Trauma & Burn Center and Level 2 Stroke Center
• Works well with others in a collaborative team environment
