Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks a Radiation Therapist with ARRT certification and 2+ years of experience to provide outpatient cancer treatment using advanced radiation therapy equipment.

Responsibilities include work in a cancer/infusion center, pediatric and adult patient care, day shifts with 6:00am-8:00pm windows, and familiarity with Epic/EMR systems. Travel assignments and safety protocols are core to this role.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification preferred; license required if applicable
• BLS certification required, AHA preferred
• Minimum 2 years experience as Radiation Therapist
• Prior travel experience required
• Epic EMR experience preferred, with orientation training
• Proof of high school level education required
• Experience with brachytherapy including intracavity/interstitial administration preferred
• Experience computing dose distribution preferred
• Experience with external beam therapy preferred
• Experience with custom molds and beam modifying/positioning
• Knowledge of radiation safety and PPE preferred
• Experience with billing for treatment types and devices preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment in a cancer center/infusion center setting for adult and pediatric patients
• Operate and optimize delivery with Varian TrueBeam, Vision RT, Elekta MOSAIK, and Versa HD systems
• Use RayStation for treatment planning and Cerner/Epic EMR systems
• Perform simulation and pretreatment planning of treatment sites
• Assist with brachytherapy procedures
• Deliver external beam therapy to both adult and pediatric patients
• Adhere to safety protocols and coordinate with care teams
• Manage travel assignment logistics and patient scheduling as needed
• Local candidates may be considered for same rate as travel

Responsibilities

• Work in a cancer center/infusion center setting
• Adult outpatient radiation oncology population
• Provision of treatment to pediatric cancer patients
• Day shift, 5x8 hour schedule with variable hours between 6:00am-8:00pm
• Uses Varian TrueBeam, Vision RT, Elekta MOSAIK, and Elekta Versa HD treatment units
• Uses RayStation treatment planning system
• Uses Cerner and Epic EMR systems
• Perform simulation of treatment sites and pretreatment planning
• Assist with brachytherapy procedures including intracavity/interstitial administration
• Deliver external beam therapy to adult and pediatric oncology patients
• Maximum RTO of 5 days per assignment, to be submitted at time of consideration
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on qualifications
• Returning staff members must wait 12 months before reapplying
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel
