Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Radiation Therapist for an acute care hospital in California. The role requires ARRT(T) and BLS certification, with at least 1 year of experience and Epic charting proficiency.

• Skilled in field shaping, chart checks, and patient/family teaching.
• Experience with lift/transfer devices and care of patients in restraints.
• Mosaiq and C-RAD experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Acute care hospital setting with 150 staffed beds.
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Float requirement between like units and sister facilities within the state.
• Uses Epic for charting.
• Adult acute care and outpatient radiation therapy settings.
• Treatment units include Elekta Synergy and Elekta Infinity.
• Techniques include IMRT, SRS, CBCT/kV/mV imaging, respiratory gating, and external beam therapy.
• Treats conditions including prostate cancer, lymphomas, leukemia, pancreatic cancer, and benign brain tumors.
• Responsibilities include pretreatment simulation, treatment plan implementation, and supervision of treatment delivery.

• Free parking provided on first day with assignment parking issued during orientation
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront at time of consideration, with limited flexibility post-offer
• Open to first-time travelers with required experience
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a lower bill rate
• Former permanent staff may return after a 3-month waiting period if located outside a 50-mile radius
• 2 supervisory references required, covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years
• Facility may call off shifts up to once per two-week pay period
