American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a Long Term Care facility. The role requires 2+ years of PTA experience and a TX or compact PTA license. You will work under the supervision of physical therapists to provide targeted therapies and document patient progress.

Responsibilities

• Long Term Care setting within the Physical Therapy department
• Day shift, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Work under the direction and supervision of physical therapists to treat patients through exercise, massage, gait and balance training, and other therapeutic interventions
• Document patient progress and report treatment outcomes to the supervising physical therapist
• Build and manage caseload proactively using available patient referrals and treatment opportunities to meet productivity expectations
• Make reasonable efforts to reschedule or complete missed or shortened treatment sessions when clinically appropriate
• Communicate any barriers to completing treatment to facility leadership
• No more than 5 days of RTO can be requested
