Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to support a Long Term Care facility in Missouri. The 13-week assignment features a Day shift (8 hours), Monday through Friday with flexible start times between 6 AM and 10 AM.

Compact license accepted; supervision by a licensed PT; focus on rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary care. You will document treatment in the electronic system, participate in care conferences, coordinate DME and supplies, and support student

Qualifications

• Active PTA license required if applicable.
• Minimum 1 year of PTA experience in LTC/SNF setting.
• New graduates may be considered if Level II clinical experience completed.
• One reference required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Long Term Care (LTC) setting within Physical Therapy unit.
• 13-week assignment with Day shift, 8-hour shifts.
• Mon–Fri schedule with start times between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM.
• No weekend work unless making up holiday hours.
• No on-call requirements.
• Compact license accepted.
• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment under PT supervision.
• Administer manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and assistive devices.
• Assess progress and adjust treatment plans with supervising PT.
• Document treatment information in the electronic system per regulations.
• Participate in patient care conferences and utilization reviews.
• Assist in discharge summaries and obtaining DME/supplies.
• Supervise and support students under supervising PT.
• Adhere to APTA/state practice acts and code of conduct.
• No more than 7 days of RTO may be requested.
