American Traveler, LLC is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for an outpatient setting in Illinois. The role requires at least 1 year of experience and BLS certification.

You will work a 4x10 day shift schedule at a Critical Access facility, with no weekends, treating orthopedic and neurologic patients and using modalities such as E-stim and ultrasound. This position emphasizes care planning, home exercise programs, patient education, and collaboration with nurses and therapists.

Qualificações

• Current BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross accepted; RQI cards not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Illinois PTA license required if applicable

Responsabilidades

• Outpatient Clinic setting at a Critical Access facility with 25 staffed beds
• 4x10 day shift schedule, 6:45 AM to 5:00 PM, with no weekends
• Flexible to 8-hour shifts based on department needs
• Uses Cerner for charting, with any charting system experience accepted
• Treats orthopedic, neurologic, cardiopulmonary, and geriatric patient populations
• Performs modalities such as E-stim, ultrasound, traction, and moist heat
• Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction
• Previous permanent or PRN employees must be separated from the facility for at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
• Candidates must work 2 of the 3 major holidays
• Up to 5 non-holiday RTO days may be auto-approved; additional time off requires facility approval
• Grey scrub color required
• Parking permit required at no cost, arranged during orientation
• Day 1 orientation is virtual and at-home with required modules completed by 4:00 PM CST
• Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, home exercise programs, and patient/family education
