Job description

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience for a Critical Access Hospital treating patients across outpatient, inpatient, and SNF settings.

Requirements

• First-time travelers accepted

Responsibilities

• Critical Access Hospital with Level IV Trauma designation
• Acute care facility with 46 staffed beds and 22 LTC beds
• Therapy department treats outpatient, inpatient, and SNF patients of all ages and diagnoses
• Specialty services include wound care, lymphedema, pelvic floor, and pediatrics
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 or 4x10 hours, with traveler's choice of schedule
• 13 or 26-week contract length options
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Float required within scope to cover Outpatient, Acute Care, and SNF
• May be required to float between sister facilities
• Uses Epic for charting
• Responsibilities include evaluation, treatment planning, and documentation across multiple care settings and patient populations
• Scrub color is flexible, business casual also accepted
• Free on-site parking available
• Facility provides housing, typically 1-bedroom apartments, for the duration of the assignment
• Pets are not allowed in provided housing
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• RTO requests should be submitted upfront; post-submission requests may not be accommodated
• Local candidates not accepted; must live at least 50 miles from the facility
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they live outside the 50-mile radius
• Two supervisory references required, covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable setting
