Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient therapy setting requiring at least 1 year of relevant experience and Epic EMR proficiency. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule (8:00am–5:30pm), 40 hours per week, with no weekend or holiday shifts.

The position requires a Bachelor's in Physical Therapy, IL license if applicable, BLS-AHA certification, and Epic EMR experience. It involves treating patients of all ages with orthopedic and neurologic conditions and educating

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• Minimum 1 year of PT experience required.
• IL PT license if applicable.
• BLS-AHA certification required.
• Epic EMR charting experience required.
• Experience with screening procedures and objective testing methods required.
• Knowledge of therapeutic modalities and taping techniques.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient therapy department setting.
• 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week; Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:30pm with variable hours.
• Treats patients of all ages with orthopedic and neurologic conditions.
• Performs objective testing for ROM, strength, and functional task performance.
• Applies taping techniques for stabilization, facilitation, or inhibition of movement.
• Utilizes therapeutic modalities including ultrasound, interferential, and iontophoresis.
• Uses Epic for charting and daily documentation.
• Evaluates and treats patients of all ages, adjusting plan of care based on patient response.
• Serves as a clinical resource and role model for staff and students.
• Designs individualized plans of care integrating goals, treatment, and discharge planning.
• Educates patients, families, and caregivers using effective teaching methods.
• Communicates with referring providers on patient progress and treatment recommendations.
• Monitors and provides feedback on care delivered by support personnel.
• Radius rule of 50 miles applies; local candidates within this radius are not eligible.
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract.
• Previous Carle Health workers must complete a 6-month break in service after 1 year of continuous assignment before returning
