Applegreen USA is seeking an Assistant Plaza Director to support the Plaza Director in managing day-to-day operations and profitability of a multi-million-dollar travel plaza along a major highway. You will lead a team of associates and managers to deliver fast and friendly service while achieving financial targets.

The role requires 3+ years in restaurant or retail leadership, a high school diploma, and the ability to work ~50 hours per week on-site, including days, nights, weekends, and

Qualifications

• Proficient with MS Office, payroll/timekeeping, inventory and POS systems.
• Ability to operate in ambiguity, drive clarity and manage change in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential.
• Strong background in maintaining cost control and quality standards.
• ServSafe Certification preferred or required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility for the travel plaza in the absence of the Plaza Director.
• Lead day-to-day activities of associates and plaza leadership to meet sales, speed of service, customer satisfaction and quality standards.
• Monitor progress toward financial and performance objectives and support strategic changes to maximize profitability.
• Ensure each food/beverage concept adheres to brand standards.
• Foster an engaging, learning-focused work culture and accountability.
• Recruit, develop, and retain strong teams across the plaza.
• Support supervision of plaza leadership to meet goals and manage reports.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and laws.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally.
• Collaborate with Brand Partners, HR, Loss Prevention, Finance, and Facilities & Maintenance.
