Applegreen (US) Welcome Centers is seeking a Plaza Director to oversee day-to-day operations and long-term profitability of a multi-million-dollar travel plaza along a major highway. You will lead a dedicated team to deliver fast, friendly service while meeting financial targets.

The role requires building strong brand standards, managing food safety and quality, recruiting and developing leaders, and ensuring compliance with policies and laws.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multi-unit or big-box operations.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and fast-paced change.
• Commitment to cost control and quality standards.
• Passion for developing people and careers.
• ServSafe Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day activities of associates and plaza leadership to meet objectives around sales, speed of service, customer satisfaction, brand standards, and food quality & safety standards.
• Monitor progress toward financial and performance targets and implement changes to maximize performance and profitability.
• Ensure each food and beverage concept adheres to brand standards.
• Maintain an engaging work culture with continuous learning and accountability.
• Recruit, develop, and retain strong teams across the plaza.
• Hire, coach, train, promote, discipline, terminate, or transfer plaza leadership.
• Supervise and manage the plaza leadership team to meet goals and supervise direct reports.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and local, state, & federal laws.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally.
• Collaborate with Brand Partners, HR, Loss Prevention, Finance, and Facilities & Maintenance.
• Foster seamless relationships with business partners, vendors, and communities.
