Applegreen (US) Welcome Centers is seeking a Plaza Director to oversee the day‑to‑day operations and long‑term profitability of a multi‑million‑dollar travel plaza along a major highway. You will lead a dedicated team to deliver fast, friendly service while achieving sales, speed, and food quality targets.

The role emphasizes brand standards, staff development, and collaboration with brand partners and support teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven multi-unit or big-box leadership.
• Availability for a flexible on-site schedule ~50 hours/week.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift at least 20 pounds.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience maintaining cost controls and quality standards.
• ServSafe Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day activities of associates and plaza leadership to achieve sales, speed of service, customer satisfaction, brand standards, and food quality & safety.
• Monitor progress toward financial and performance targets; implement strategic changes to maximize profitability.
• Ensure each food/beverage concept adheres to brand standards.
• Maintain an engaging work culture focused on learning and accountability.
• Recruit, develop, and retain strong teams; manage staffing levels across the plaza.
• Hire, coach, train, promote, and handle disciplinary actions for plaza leadership.
• Supervise plaza leadership to meet personal and business goals and manage direct reports.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and local, state, and federal laws.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally and promptly.
• Collaborate with Brand Partners, HR, Loss Prevention, Finance, and Facilities & Maintenance.
• Maintain cooperative relationships with business partners, vendors, and communities.
