Applegreen USA Welcome Centers is seeking a Plaza Director to oversee the day-to-day operations and profitability of a high-traffic travel plaza along a major highway in the Northeast/Midwest. You will lead a dedicated team to deliver fast, friendly service and maintain brand standards for all food/beverage concepts.

The role requires 5+ years in multi-unit leadership, strong cost control, and a focus on development and engagement of staff.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of multi-unit or big-box leadership experience.
• Flexibility for on-site work ~50 hours per week, including days/nights/weekends/holidays.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, twist, and lift up to 20 pounds.
• Maintains regular attendance and punctuality; travel to support locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily plaza operations to meet sales, speed, and quality targets.
• Monitor financials and performance; implement changes to maximize profitability.
• Ensure food/beverage concepts comply with brand standards.
• Develop, coach, and retain the plaza leadership team.
• Recruit, train, and manage staff; address disciplinary actions as needed.
• Ensure policy compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally.
• Collaborate with Brand Partners, HR, Loss Prevention, Finance, and Facilities.
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors and the community.
