Responsibilities

• Provide PTA services under supervision to LTAC residents per plan of care.
• Conduct prescribed therapeutic exercises, gait and mobility training, balance activities, and functional tasks.
• Apply approved modalities and manual techniques as directed by the supervising PT and document responses.
• Monitor patient status and communicate changes to the supervising PT; collaborate with the team on care plans.
• Assist with patient positioning, transfers, equipment setup, and infection control protocols.
• Participate in discharge planning discussions and provide education to patients and families as permitted.

Responsibilities
