Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant for a travel LTAC assignment in Greenfield, MA. This LTAC-focused skilled nursing role offers 35 guaranteed hours per week over a 13-week contract, starting 11/02/2026, with 8-hour days.

You will provide PTA services under supervision, guide therapeutic exercises, gait and mobility training, document progress, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support safe, functional patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in Massachusetts or eligibility to practice per state requirements.
• Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program.
• Prior LTAC or skilled nursing experience preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a skilled nursing LTAC environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong documentation, communication, and patient-care skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide PTA services under supervision to LTAC residents per plan of care.
• Conduct prescribed therapeutic exercises, gait and mobility training, balance activities, and functional tasks.
• Apply approved modalities and manual techniques as directed by the supervising PT and document responses.
• Monitor patient status and communicate changes to the supervising PT; collaborate with the team on care plans.
• Assist with patient positioning, transfers, equipment setup, and infection control protocols.
• Participate in discharge planning discussions and provide education to patients and families as permitted.
