Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU for a travel nursing assignment in Dayton, Ohio. The position is 13 weeks long, with 48 hours per week and 12-hour night shifts in the Progressive Care Unit. This travel role requires 1-2 years of acute care experience and relevant certifications.

As a PCU RN, you will monitor cardiac and other vitals, titrate medications, and respond quickly to changes in patient condition. A tax-free stipend plus benefits are included.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret and record electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action whenever information from monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology.
