Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Warren, Ohio. The PCU RN will care for patients requiring close monitoring but not ICU-level care, using cardiac monitors and IV therapy.

This role emphasizes rapid assessment, medication administration, and collaborating with a fast-paced team. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of acute care experience and hold ACLS/BLS certifications.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience preferred.
• RN licensure in good standing and Ohio endorsement may be required.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts on a travel assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs as needed.
• Prepare, administer and document prescribed medications.
• Monitor equipment and interpret electronic displays for changes.
• Initiate corrective actions when monitoring shows adverse signs.
