Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) travel nurse in Columbus, Ohio. This RN travel role requires 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, and start ASAP for a 13-week assignment. The PCU nurse will care for patients requiring close monitoring but not ICU-level care, with 1–2 years of acute care experience preferred.

ACLS and BLS are required, and additional certifications may be needed before starting. Travel pay packages and tax-free stipends are discussed during placement.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience preferred.
• PCU/step-down nursing experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care for PCU patients.
• Stabilize and monitor patients with close observation of cardiac and other vital signs.
• Administer prescribed medications and document responses.
• Monitor and adjust monitoring equipment; interpret displays.
• Escalate changes in patient status as needed and communicate with the care team.
