Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse PCU RN to join our team in Springfield, Massachusetts. This PCU role focuses on progressive care unit patients needing close monitoring and frequent assessment while not in ICU.

The travel RN will perform bedside care, monitor vital signs and respond to changes quickly, using monitoring equipment and documentation. A 1–2 year acute care background with ACLS/BLS is required, with 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications.
• Monitor equipment and interpret electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective actions based on monitoring data.
