Job summary

TotalMed RN in Springfield, OH seeks a Progressive Care Unit RN for a 13-week travel assignment. The position is 36 hours weekly on 12-hour night shifts, with acute care requirements and immediate start for a PCU travel nurse.

The RN will monitor cardiac and other vitals, manage medications, and perform bedside care in a fast-paced PCU environment. Prior 1–2 years of acute care is desired, with additional certifications possibly required.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• NIH certification required.
• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.
• Additional certifications may be required before starting.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications, reporting adverse reactions.
