Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) travel nurse for a Springfield, Missouri assignment. The PCU RN will monitor cardiac patients, administer medications, and perform regular assessments on a 12‑hour day shift, 36 hours per week, for a 13‑week contract.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of acute care experience, ACLS, BLS, and are comfortable with fast-paced environments. A tax‑free stipend is mentioned and travel arrangements are coordinated by TotalMed RN.

Qualifications

• PCU travel RN with 1–2 years of acute care experience.
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring and patient assessment.
• Able to manage medications and IVs and respond to changes quickly.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Monitor patient vitals and interpret monitoring equipment.
• Administer prescribed medications and document administration.
• Assist with patient movement and ensure safety during transfers.
