Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a Travel Nurse RN in Springfield, Massachusetts for an Intermediate Care PCU assignment. The role requires 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and offers a 13-week contract with 36 hours per week, 12-hour days. Travel employment includes competitive pay and benefits.

The PCU RN will monitor cardiac and other vitals, administer meds, manage lines and IVs, and respond quickly to changes in patient condition in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• PCU/step-down experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications.
• Monitor equipment and interpret electronic displays.
• Act quickly to intervene based on monitoring data.
