Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Omaha, Nebraska. This PCU travel role requires 1-2 years of acute care experience and offers 12-hour night shifts on a 36-hour work week.

As a PCU RN, you’ll monitor cardiac patients, administer medications, and use monitoring equipment to detect changes requiring intervention. This travel assignment includes benefits and weekly pay through TotalMed RN.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• NIH certification and minimum 2 years of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret and record electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action whenever information from monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology.
