Job summary

TotalMed RN in Newburgh, IN is seeking a PCU/Cardiac Stepdown travel nurse to provide continuous bedside care and monitor cardiac patients. The role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience, 12-hour nights, and a 48-hour week on a 13-week assignment.

The PCU RN will monitor telemetry, administer medications, and respond to changes in patient condition with rapid assessment and teamwork. Responsibilities include stabilizing patients, changing dressings and IVs, and ensuring accurate

Qualifications

• PCU/Cardiac Stepdown experience is preferred.
• 1–2 years recent acute care experience.
• Requires 12-hour night shifts and 48 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust monitoring equipment and interpret data.
• Initiate corrective action based on monitoring results.
