Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a PCU RN for a travel assignment in Cedar Rapids, IA. This 13-week travel position offers 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts, serving patients in the Cardiac Stepdown/PCU.

Immediate openings require 1–2 years of acute care experience and relevant certifications. As a PCU Travel Nurse, you will monitor cardiac vitals, manage medications, and respond to changes with timely interventions.

Qualifications

• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• 2 years of recent acute care experience.
• PCU/Cardiac stepdown experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust equipment; interpret and record electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action based on monitoring data and symptoms.
