Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU – Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Marquette, Michigan. This travel assignment is 13 weeks long, 36 hours per week, with night shifts on 12-hour rotations. A RN with 1–2 years of recent acute care experience is preferred.

ACLS, BLS and NIH certifications may be required before starting. The PCU role involves monitoring patients who need close observation but not ICU care, with complex medication handling and life-safety monitoring.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certification required.
• NIH certification or equivalent may be required.
• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor reactions.
• Interpret monitor data and respond to adverse changes.
