TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Indianapolis, Indiana. The PCU role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience and offers a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts.

Start date 09/21/2026. Duties include bedside care, monitoring vital signs, adjusting IVs, and reporting changes. This travel opportunity provides weekly pay, benefits, and the chance to work in a fast-paced cardiac step-down environment.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience.
• PCU or step-down unit experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
• Monitor and interpret specialized equipment and electronic displays.
• Take action when monitoring data shows adverse symptoms.
