Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an OR travel nurse to work in Peoria, Illinois. This role requires 1-2 years of acute care experience as a circulating or scrub nurse, with potential RN first assistant duties. The travel assignment is for 13 weeks at 40 hours per week, dayshift, with 8-hour shifts.

Ideal candidates will have BLS and an Illinois RN license. Responsibilities include assisting with surgeries, patient education, and coordination with the OR team.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience as circulating nurse or scrub nurse.
• BLS certification required.
• RN license to practice in Illinois or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and staff in caring for surgical patients before, during and after procedures.
• Provide pre- and post-surgery care and education to patients and families.
• Monitor patient during surgery and ensure correct procedures are performed.
• Communicate with operating room team and coordinate patient care.
