Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a travel OR RN for a 13-week assignment in Mattoon, Illinois. The role offers 40 hours per week with 10-hour daytime shifts, supporting OR operations as a circulating/scrub nurse and potentially RN first assistant.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of acute care OR experience and hold BLS/ACLS certifications. This travel position includes weekly pay and a tax-free stipend, with TotalMed RN handling the assignment details.

Qualifications

• Must have RN licensure and active certification where required.
• 2+ years of acute care experience in OR settings preferred.
• Certifications include BLS and ACLS.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and staff in caring for surgical patients.
• Provide pre- and post-surgery education to patients.
• Prepare instruments and assist during procedures as circulating or scrub nurse.
• Ensure correct procedures are performed on the correct patient.
• Educate patients and families on home care needs.
