Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Peoria, Illinois. The right RN will support the surgical team as a circulating and/or scrub nurse, with a focus on patient care before, during, and after procedures.

The assignment is 13 weeks, 40 hours per week, dayshift 8 hours, Travel employment type. Candidates should have BLS and 1-2 years of acute care OR experience; additional certifications may be required before starting.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of acute care OR experience (circulating or scrub) preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Ability to read surgical plans and assist team.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and staff in caring for surgical patients.
• Provide pre- and post-surgery education to patients.
• Ensure correct procedure is performed and maintain sterile technique.
• Monitor equipment and assist with instruments during procedures.
